Dans cette brève introduction, le cadet Mathieu de l’Aviation royale canadienne rencontre le fantôme du capitaine T-Jean qui a servi dans l’Aviation royale canadienne lors de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale. Après avoir pris conscience que le capitaine est bel et bien un fantôme, Mathieu comprend que le capitaine doit avoir des histoires à raconter.
