Oh Canada! Let’s celebrate Canada Day together
Canada Day will be celebrated differently this year, with a virtual get-together. While the Ingenium museums are temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you can find an array of Canada Day crafts and activities from the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, and the Canada Science and Technology Museum.
It remains an opportunity to highlight key moments in our history, such as the fortieth anniversary of our national anthem, "O Canada" and the pivotal role played by the Métis Nation in Manitoba's entry into Confederation 150 years ago. Let's also take this opportunity to continue celebrating our two official languages! Canadian Heritage invites you to celebrate Canada Day by discovering all the programming details on the Canada Day website.
Discover and appreciate the talent of many artists from official language minority and Indigenous communities, such as Radio-Radio, Damien Robitaille, Farouza, Natasha Kanapé Fontaine, The Jerry Cans, and Leela Guilday, by watching the two national broadcasts. Show off your culinary and athletic talents or explore the Virtual Celebration Kit. Here is a background you can use for your virtual get-togethers. Let’s celebrate Canada Day together virtually, from coast to coast! Feel free to share across your respective networks.
