Summer is heating up, and so is the family-friendly fun at the museum! In the months of July and August, join us for activities and demonstrations around the theme of “A Taste of Summer.”
Ever wonder what cows like to eat for dinner? At the “Cooking for Cows” demonstration, you'll discover the diets that fuel our dairy herd. You can even help to prepare a nutritious plate and offer it to one of the museum's cows! Don’t miss the chance to visit Discovery Park, where you can take part in the “Worms and Bees Helping Flowers and Trees” demonstration.
The kids will love listening to an animal-themed book during our morning Story Time, and they can also “Get Schooled on Fish” in the Learning Centre every afternoon. Be sure to stop by the museum’s Demonstration Kitchen, where we’ll be highlighting berries, peaches and herbs! Samples of our featured recipes will be available for tasting (while supplies last).
