As snowflakes settle over the fields in November and December, we invite you to celebrate “Seasonal Traditions at the Farm.”
During our daily demonstrations, you can meet some farm animals in our barns. You’ll discover their characteristics and learn how they’re cared for during the colder months. In our “Aquaculture and Ocean Activities” demonstration, you can plunge into the world of the small-but-mighty shellfish and learn how they help keep our waters clean! Young visitors can sit with a museum guide and listen to a reading of Goodbye Autumn, Hello Winter, followed by a craft.
Join us in the Demonstration Kitchen to learn all about cranberries — a traditional Canadian crop. Planning to entertain over the holidays? Don’t miss the chance to sample our quick-and-easy dips, and learn about the history of brunch!
Please note that on December 24, 2023, the last demonstration of the day is at 1:30 p.m.; the museum closes at 2 p.m.
