Genetics and Dairy Cows

A young woman wearing a headset and a mask holds up a jar of corn silage cow feed; she is standing in front of a row of cows in a dairy barn.

Witness how genetics can be applied in real life! Through various activities, students learn how dairy farmers can improve the genetic make-up of their herd using modern technologies. Students will understand some of the science that goes into the selection and breeding of dairy cows.
