Space can be a dangerous place. Gravity, radiation, and isolation pose unique challenges for astronauts, and for those back on Earth working to ensure their health.

Canadian astronaut Dr. David Saint-Jacques — who served as crew medical officer during his mission aboard the International Space Station — is highlighted within this exhibition. Visitors can listen as astronauts share their first-hand experiences, and explore surprising artifacts that reveal how Canada has contributed to advancing our understanding of health in space. Discoveries in this field will be essential for the success of future deep-space expeditions, and may also help solve medical challenges on Earth.

Exhibition developed and produced by the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency.
