OTTAWA, ON, March 3, 2022 — Ingenium and Ottawa’s the Urban Element - a dynamic player in Ottawa’s food scene - are thrilled to announce a new partnership that will bring a delicious sit-down dining experience to the Canada Science and Technology Museum beginning March 4. The Collective | Le Collectif is the new onsite Café that will offer sustainable and innovative food experiences with delicious and convenient grab-and-go food and beverages at our three museums.
Since 2005, Urban Element has produced exceptional culinary and catering experiences and is recognized for its commitment to the community. Urban Element will make the kitchen at the Canada Science and Technology Museum its new hub and will expand its food services to our two other museums, in addition to providing further food and beverage services, such as catered events and culinary programs in the Ingenium event spaces.
The menu will include speciality foods like pressed focaccia, seasonal soups, grain bowls, sandwiches and grill cheeses for the kids and will debut at the Canada Science and Technology Museum ahead of the March break. Grab-and-go options like pastries will also be available. Hot beverages like coffee will also be available. Birch Bark Coffee Company, a fair trade and organic coffee company with a social impact mission – a % of sales helps to directly support Indigenous communities with water purification units, will supply the beans. The Collective | Le Collectif will expand to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, and Canada Agriculture and Food Museum in the spring.
After Museum hours, the café will transform into a workshop where special programming is offered to guests and members, including culinary sensory experiences, various food and drink tasting events and programs for children on weekends. Corporate groups can also experience unique up-close-and-personal Chef driven events.
