The Big Blue Balloon Adventure (Virtual Program)

Hours and Location

The Big Blue Balloon Adventure (Virtual Program)

A smiling child wears a red shirt, a tan aviator helmet and large black aviator goggles. Behind him there is a cloudy blue sky and the top of a red biplane wing.

Follow the balloon in this Virtual Field Trip! After reading The Blue Balloon by Mick Inkpen, your students will set out on a virtual tour to discover a variety of aircraft. At each stop marked by a blue balloon, students will look for 3D shapes within each aircraft structure and count propeller blades. Inspiration and instructions for an optional aircraft inventor’s activity — to build their own flying machines — are included with the program information.

Note: This program is virtual, via Zoom.
