The Museum offers numerous educational programs to help bring the curriculum to life. Make the most of these programs and your class visit to the Museum with the following tips and information.
Free for Teachers
Want to explore the Museum ahead of your class trip? Teachers visit the Museum free of charge when they present proof of their teaching status.
Posters and postcards are available upon request — please email contact@IngeniumCanada.org.
Reserve Your Program Three Weeks in Advance
Send your program request at least three weeks prior to your desired visit date. Make your reservation request online online or by calling the Reservations Office at 613-991-3053 or 1-800-463-2038. Please allow 48 hours for a reply.
Program fees are per student. Minimum fees apply. All prices are subject to change without notice. Payment may be made in advance or upon arrival. The Museum accepts cash, debit, credit cards, or cheques (payable to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum).
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. A $30 cancellation fee applies unless the program is rescheduled within the same school year. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are subject to an $100 cancellation fee. In the case of bus cancellations due to inclement weather, fees are waived if the program is rescheduled in the same school year.
Spend More Time at the Museum
Plan to spend 1 to 1 ½ additional hours at the Museum. This will give you time to explore the Museum before or after your program, watch aircraft taking off and landing (in good weather), and visit the Aeronautica Boutique.
If you plan to stay for lunch, ask the Reservations Office about the Museum’s catering services and reserving space in the cafeteria or picnic area.
Take More than Memories Back to School
Bring your camera to document the fun. The Museum is also equipped with Wi-Fi so you can tweet or post about your visit (in accordance with your school’s social media policies). Be sure to mention @CASMEducation.
If your program includes a craft, remember to bring bags so that you can take your students’ creations back to school more easily.
