Geneviève Breton joined Ingenium – Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation, in 2014. In her role as Vice-President, Public Affairs and Marketing, she led the corporate branding of Ingenium, formerly known as the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation.
Fluently bilingual, Geneviève has nearly 20 years of visionary leadership experience. Through her work as a communications strategist in the private business sector, Parliament, and the Government of Canada, Geneviève brings a “big picture” perspective on the intertwined complexities of the Canadian political and socio-economic landscape. She has a strong ability to frame complex policy and issues into high-impact messaging that resonates with target audiences.
In 2017, Geneviève rolled out a highly-successful marketing and media relations campaign for the opening of the Canada Science and Technology Museum, following its three-year renewal. With a constant ear to the ground, she is adept at identifying and seizing media opportunities to increase positive visibility for Ingenium. Leading and mentoring a highly-successful team, she sets the stage for the development and optimization of robust communications strategies.
Geneviève holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing and International Relations from the University of Ottawa. She resides in Ottawa, where she shares her passion for skiing, camping, and boating with her husband and two sons.
