OTTAWA, Thursday, October 27, 2016 — Celebrate Halloween at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum on October 29 and 30 during its Barnyard Halloween festivities. Make some ghoulish treats, create a creepy craft, enjoy Halloween storytelling, and take part in Halloween games. Costumed visitors of all ages can join the costume parade. Children can decorate a pumpkin to bring home ($) and take on the challenge of a Scavenger Hunt through the barns and exhibitions.
- Science Spook-tacular (ongoing): You’ll be astounded as the Museum’s resident Mad Scientist reveals Alien Monster Eggs, Goblin Goo, and more! Investigate real bones and skulls and try to identify animals by their skeletons alone
- Pumpkin Decorating (ongoing): Children can use a variety of craft materials to decorate a pumpkin to take home. Additional cost $1; while supplies last
- Costume Parade (10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.): Costumed visitors young and old can show off their disguise in a costume parade and enjoy a treat afterwards.
- Graveyard Pudding (10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.): Young visitors can help create this fun Halloween treat decorated with candy to look like a graveyard.
- Mini Caramel Apples (ongoing): Enjoy this delectable classic while storytellers share a Halloween legend or two.
