OTTAWA, September 24, 2015 — Have you ever wondered how insects are beneficial to humans? What a cockroach race would look like? Or are you curious what a stick insect is? Then join the Entomological Society of Ontario (ESO) at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum on Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the third annual Bug Day celebration.
The Museum will be buzzing with activities, including a live insect zoo, a guided insect expedition, cockroach races, and much more. Young visitors will enjoy bug themed snacks, games, and face painting.
This is your chance to meet world renowned scientists and ask all the questions that have been bugging you! You’ll also get to meet the Museum’s bee colony, learn how to attract pollinators, discover fun facts about worms, and play an animal habitat game.
Museum admission is FREE on Bug Day, thanks to a generous donation from the Ottawa Field-Naturalists’ Club.
