It’s easy to forget that soil is teeming with life. With your students, dig into the ground and discover the creatures hiding there.

What is our primary source of heat and light? How do the daily and seasonal cycles of the Earth affect everyday life? Students will answer these questions and more with a trip to the museum’s inflatable planetarium.

What better place than a working farm to explore the impact of modern agriculture on the environment?

Accompanied by Mr. or Ms. Farmer, your students will meet sheep, goats, pigs, chickens and rabbits. Students will discover the smells and sounds of the farm, touch the animals’ soft coats, sing, make crafts, and listen to a farm tale.

In this interactive workshop, your students will discover the important role of bees in pollination, as well as the dangers they face.

In the Dairy Barn, students meet the calves and cows. Then, they learn the characteristics of mammals, discover where milk comes from, and handle old-fashioned dairy equipment.

This program invites students to create a complex chain-reaction machine, using familiar materials in unusual ways. They will work in small teams as they experiment with the transfer of energy.
