Audience: Camps/Groups (Ages 4 to 12)
Are your summer campers ready to make some noise? Amp up the fun factor — and the sound — with this entertaining and educational online experience, led by a museum facilitator.
During the session, participants will take part in sound-filled homemade experiments and create a noise-making craft, all using supplies from their home. They are encouraged to cheer and interact during our live science demonstrations. The process will reveal some of the silly and mind-boggling effects that sound can create — such as levitating and moving objects, or forming intricate salt patterns!
Adult assistance may be needed for young participants.
Note: This program is virtual via Zoom, Google Meet, or the platform of your choice.
Materials and equipment
Once your program is booked, we will provide all necessary information about the program set up and supplies needed to maximize your experience.
Group organizer tips
A facilitator from the museum will connect with your group using videoconferencing software. Through the participant web camera and the chat feature, the facilitator will see and interact with participants throughout the session.
We can provide the organizer of the virtual program with a meeting link to distribute to their group. If the organizer prefers to set up the link for their group, we request that this link is provided to our facilitator at least one week before the program. See the attached document for tips and tricks for connecting with your group.
Booking requests can be made through our Online Reservation Request Form.
