Join us at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum on Saturday, May 11 for the celebration of International Astronomy Day!

Daytime Activities
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Enjoy activities for all ages that are out of this world. Safely observe the Sun (weather permitting) with the members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. (Free outdoor activity)

Walk from the Sun to Pluto in a self-guided planetary scavenger hunt spanning the entire museum. (Included with Museum admission)

Visit the Planetarium ($) — and explore the universe from the comfort of the museum! Our trained staff will help you identify constellations, locate planets in the sky, and take a flight through the solar system. Visit this link for more details on the planetarium. (Museum admission + additional fee of $5 per person, children aged 5 or under are free)

Nighttime Activities
8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (free outdoor activity)

We’ve teamed up with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) to celebrate the stars. Join us for a chance to look through a telescope — with RASC volunteers on hand to answer your questions. Weather permitting. (Note that the Museum will be closed)
