Coding is an essential digital skill for youth — get a head start with fun and easy coding activities in Exploratek! Create your own game using simple coding software, or use your new skills to program a Sphero robot and complete challenges.

This event is brought to you in partnership with Kids Code Jeunesse.

Hour of Code is a global movement celebrated in over 180 countries during the Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 3-9). This initiative’s goal is to promote digital literacy and demystify coding, encouraging people to learn the basics and see themselves in computer science.

Micro:bit Workshop

10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Take part in this hands-on workshop and explore coding fundamentals using Micro:bit — a tiny, handheld programmable computer!

Recommended for participants ages 8 and up. No experience required; all materials are provided.

The workshop is included with museum admission.
Parents/guardians must remain at the museum for the duration of the workshop. Parents are welcome to attend the session.
