Take family fun to new heights this Canada Day!

Watch Captain Brian Kilroy — and his specially-painted aircraft — fly over the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. You’ll also have the rare opportunity to meet him and members of the CF-18 Demonstration Team at an exclusive autograph session!

You won’t want to miss the chance to see the first-ever public display of the Delta Test Vehicle (DTV) that was recovered from Lake Ontario. In August 2018, the OEX Recovery Group retrieved an airplane-shaped object from the lake, as part of a campaign called Raise the Arrow. The team hoped they had found a free-flight model of the Avro Arrow from the 1950s. The object turned out to be a DTV — a test model that was fired over Lake Ontario in 1954 as a precursor to the free-flight model. See the DTV up close — and learn about this ongoing recovery and conservation efforts around this Cold War mystery!

In addition, the museum has a jam-packed schedule of thrilling performances, including skydiving demos and micro drone flying. Just minutes from the crowds of downtown Ottawa, the museum is an ideal destination for a family-friendly day filled with entertaining, educational, and interactive activities, regardless of the weather. Stroll through our world-class aviation collection, speak with pilots, and visit more than 20 partner organizations from the aerospace industry! Admission is free (donations are welcome).
