Victory in Europe Day, or V-E Day, was celebrated on May 8, 1945 to mark the formal acceptance by the Allies of the Second World War of Nazi Germany’s unconditional military surrender, ending the Second World War in Europe.
The Canada Aviation and Space Museum is proud to partner with many national and local organizations in marking this year’s 75th anniversary of V-E Day, an occasion to celebrate and remember.
Join us in commemorating this important milestone by taking part in special programming and learning more about Canada’s contributions to the Second World War efforts, whether it be in the skies, on the battlegrounds, in factories or on the home front.
Together, we remember.
