Egypt plans a GEM of a museum

Construction is well underway for a new museum in Egypt – scheduled to open in 2019. The Grand Egyptian Museum—or GEM—will house 100,000 artifacts, including the complete collection of Tutankhamun's tomb. Museum officials hope it will help boost the country’s tourism.
