The construction of the Alaska Highway was a major feat of American and Canadian engineering that connected Dawson Creek, British Columbia and Delta Junction, Alaska. In 1851, John Sleeman, a brewer originally from Cornwall, England, started the Silver Creek Brewery in Guelph, Ontario, which became one of the most ambitious and successful breweries of the day.
