Canadian students bring innovation to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair

The Canadian kids who are advancing to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair on May 18 and 19 in Pittsburgh have been selected and unveiled.  Selected by a distinguished panel of 23 University faculty, researchers, educators and alumni though a competitive national selection process over the past six months. Those chosen are all innovating to make positive change in their respective fields.

“We are always amazed by the quality of projects submitted for the Team Canada-ISEF selection process,” says Dr. Patrick Whippey, Selection Committee Chair. “The research and development work being done by these high school students is approximately at the Master's degree level, which speaks volumes about this country's future in science and technology.”

The ISEF involves 1,800 students from 75 countries for an on average $4 million in prizes. Team Canada has two representatives returning to the ISEF and the three grand award winners from the Canada Wide Science Fair (CWSF) are attending (Alberta, Ontario, Saskatchewan).

Team Canada-ISEF is a program of Youth Science Canada supported by Youth Can Innovate, a program of the Gwyn Morgan and Patricia Trottier foundation

Take a look at each of the team members and their impressive projects.
