Collecting, however, is our most important activity. Through collecting we create a material legacy for Canadians; through the act of collecting we connect with Canadians and help connect Canadians with each other. Collecting is not just collection building, it is community building.

Fred Pattison 1897 - 1983 Fred Pattison was born in Niagara Falls, New York in 1897. He was raised and lived his life in St. Catharines. He invented improvements and patented a vehicle wheel pulling jack. The patent was issued 16 October 1917. In 1928 he helped found the St. Catharines Flying Club and was also instrumental in establishing an airport in Niagara.
