Yours truly must admit that I racked my brains to find an agricultural topic for this issue of our blog / bulletin / thingee. The grayness which affects our little corner of the Milky Way is getting a bit heavy. This being said (typed?), I think I found a little something in the 3 March 1951 issue of the daily L’Action catholique from Québec, Québec, which might intrigue you a bit. Our story began in February 1872 with the creation, in Brünn, Austro-Hungarian Empire, of Erste Brünner Maschinen

Salut ce mai faci? Personally, I am well – given the circumstances. As you may have guessed, expert linguist that you are, my reading friend, the subject of our blog / bulletin / thingee article is both agricultural and Romanian in nature. Would you also believe that this tiny nature is also aeronautical? Yes, yes, it is. Let me explain what this is all about. Industria Aeronautică Română Societate pe acţiuni (IAR) was founded in 1925. This aircraft manufacturer and aeroengine manufacturer then

Bienvenue and welcome to the fabulous world of aviation and space. Did you notice that last week’s article in our blog / bulletin / thingee was about an excellent Canadian aircraft, the de Havilland Canada Caribou? Yes? Wunderbar. Are you happy with this choice? Doubly wunderbar. Having mentioned the name of another aircraft designed by de Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (DHC) of Downsview, near Toronto, Ontario, in said article, the idea occurred to me to discuss its story this week. And

While it is not in the habits of yours truly to blather about the intoxicating drinks imagined by our species of hominid since the dawn of time, I will make an exception to the rule to talk (type?) to you about a product which accompanied countless birthdays and réveillons in Québec for decades, the famous Vin St.Georges, and, more precisely, about a pioneer of the Canadian wine industry, T.G. Bright & Company Limited. Once upon a time, there was a lumber merchant from Toronto, Ontario, born in

Hello, good day, my reading friend. What would you think of a brief excursion into the wonderful world of aviation and space? Surprise! It will not be news to you, aviation enthusiast that you are, if I said (typed?) that it was in December... I can see in your face that you are puzzled by a sense of déjà vu. Are the first words of this issue of our blog / bulletin / thingee all but identical to those of another December 2020 issue, you ask? Yes, they are. The content will not, however, be the
