Space adventures: Exploring a new world (ages 4 to 8)

Daily (10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m.)
Climb aboard a “rocket” and travel to an imaginary planet! Your mission: to serve as an expedition scientist travelling to Kepler-500. Set up camp, visit the science lab, replenish an agriculture-based food supply, and explore the planet’s surface in search of water, signs of life, and geological samples. With the help of a special rover, collect samples, take notes in your journal, and study alien species that are multiplying at an alarming rate in the base’s lab pod.

The Kuujjuaq Christmas Candy Drop (ages 4 to 7)

Daily (11:00 a.m.) in the Mauril Bélanger Theatre
Discover a Nunavik holiday tradition through a beautifully-illustrated children’s book, The Kuujjuaq Christmas Candy Drop, by Linda Brand. Learn about Inuit customs, participate in a candy drop and hear about legendary Inuk bush pilot Johnny May – and his unique way of sharing the holiday spirit. If you enjoy it, stop by our Aeronautica Boutique to pick up a copy for your aspiring pilot.
