What to See and Do
Attention all pilots and astronauts in training! These programs designed especially for kids are sure to capture the imagination.
Take in these aviation and space adventures at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum:
Rocket Adventures (ages 3-6)
Offered Sunday mornings in February and on March 17, 24, and 31 at 11 a.m., in the Mauril Bélanger Theatre
Build a rocket ship, climb aboard, and blast off. Once In Space, put on your jetpack, and go on a spacewalk to repair your ship. After a quick snack on the Moon, fly back to Earth!
Offered Sunday mornings in February, April, June July and August at 11 a.m., in the Mauril Bélanger Theatre.
Listen to a cool story, put on your spacesuit, climb aboard your space box and blast off to see the stars before landing on the Moon.
Kids' Tours (ages 4 to 7)
Every Saturday at 11 a.m.
Bring your children every Saturday at 11 a.m. for specially designed kids’ tours. Tours take 40 to 45 minutes.
Manna from the Sky
Saturdays in May, 11 a.m.
Meet Pilot Bob and learn about the Lancaster named Bad Penny, which flew the first food drop of Operation Manna in 1945, in the Netherlands. Then, take part in a parachute candy drop! (Presented in collaboration with the Royal Netherlands Embassy).
The Kuujjuaq Christmas Candy Drop
Offered on December 2, 9, 16, 23 at 11 a.m. and daily from December 26, 2018 to January 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. , in the Mauril Bélanger Theatre.
Discover a Nunavik holiday tradition! Participate in a candy drop while learning about famous Inuk bush pilot Johnny May and his unique way of sharing the holiday spirit.
