You’ve no doubt noticed that the Canada Aviation and Space Museum is closed for a few weeks this fall. Believe us, it’s for a good reason! The museum is developing a world class exhibition on the Cold War opening April 2024, all while preparing for the acquisition of an important piece of Canadian aviation history - the CC-115 Buffalo. These updates involve the complex shuffling of many aircraft - and these BIG objects must be moved with precision and care. What goes in to acquiring a new aircraft? How do we relocate items to make room for new ones? What goes in to preparing for a large-scale, permanent exhibition? You’ll hear about all of this and more from an Ingenium curator as she discusses these topics, and provides you with behind-the-scenes access to the work underway!
