Here’s your chance to help name a planet discovered outside our solar system, orbiting a foreign star! The International Astronomical Union is running a contest to name 20 exoplanets that are being observed by the James Webb Space Telescope. The Canada Aviation and Space Museum in collaboration with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada Ottawa Centre have put together a team and come up with a few possible exoplanet names, but we need YOU to vote on your favourite.

At this online event, which coincides with RASC Ottawa's monthly meeting, you will learn about what an exoplanet is, how the team came up with their names, and then get to vote on your favourite! The name with the most votes will be submitted by the team to the contest.
