Museum Teams with Nestlé Canada to Celebrate International Chefs Day!
October 20, 2017, was International Chefs Day and the theme was “Foods for Healthy Heroes”. As part of its Healthy Kids Global Program, Nestlé offered a hands-on workshop at the Museum teaching students in grades 2 and 3 how to make kid-friendly recipes, including a smoothie and French toast.
Nestlé is the title sponsor of the Museum’s five-year Food Literacy Initiative, and it has supported a range of food literacy programs including the development of the Healthy Kids Quest, a series of downloadable tools for parents and educators to use at home or in the classroom to encourage healthy living and healthy eating.
