What's On This Month
This fall, join us for a bread-making demonstration as we highlight one of Canada’s heritage wheat flours: the Red Fife. One of Canada’s longest-grown wheats, it was once the most popular. You’ll learn how to make our hardy and rich homemade bread. Younger visitors can also try their hand at grain grinding while they discover the steps to making bread — from field to table.
In September, our star ingredient is apples. Can you tell the difference between sweet and tart varieties? Put your taste buds to the test with our apple identification game, then help us make some tasty, apple-based recipes including Cinnamon Applesauce and Classic Apple Crisp.
In October, join us as we make comforting seasonal foods, from Pumpkin Spice Scones to Butternut Squash Soup. Learn about the many benefits and uses for winter squash.
The following recipes will be featured in our Demonstration Kitchen this season.
